Ningbo Zhenjia Electric Appliances Co., Ltd. manufactures generator power cords and accessories for OEM and ODM programs. Our range covers twist lock plugs, generator wiring cable and generator inlet boxes, built to connect portable generators to transfer equipment, RVs, job sites and temporary power distribution.
Since 2006 we have produced electrical connection and charging solutions from Ningbo, China, supported by our own testing lab, in-house R&D team and overseas manufacturing base. Generator power cords are configured around the connector standard, amperage, conductor size, jacket material and end-use environment confirmed for each project.
As a Generator Power Cords & Accessories manufacturer, we match product configuration to the application, operating limits, interfaces and acceptance criteria defined for each project.
We supply three product families under this category. Each family addresses a different point in the generator power path, from the generator receptacle to the building inlet.
| Product family | Typical function | Common configurations |
|---|---|---|
| Generator Twist Lock Plugs | Locking connection between generator and load cable | NEMA L5-30, L6-30, L14-20, L14-30, TT-30; male and female; 3-prong and 4-prong |
| Generator wiring cable | Power transmission between generator, inlet and distribution point | 30 A and 50 A assemblies; SJTW, STW and marine-grade jackets; custom lengths |
| Generator Inlet Box | Wall-mounted power inlet for connecting a generator cord to a building circuit | NEMA 5-20P, L5-30P, L6-30P, L14-20P, L14-30P and SS2-50P inlet configurations |
The range is supported by our wider power cord and cable production, including Power cord assemblies and Extension Cord builds, so generator accessories can be coordinated with related connection products in the same program.
Generator power cords and accessories are selected by the working point they must serve. The table below maps common applications to the product family we normally configure.
| Application | Product family | Selection focus |
|---|---|---|
| Home standby generator to transfer switch | Inlet box + wiring cable | Inlet rating, enclosure mounting, conductor ampacity |
| Job site temporary power | Twist lock plugs + wiring cable | Vibration resistance, jacket toughness, cord length |
| RV and marine shore power | Wiring cable + twist lock plugs | TT-30 and L5-30 compatibility, weather exposure |
| Commercial backup power inlet | Inlet box + heavy-duty cable | 50 A capacity, grounding configuration, enclosure type |
Generator accessories are not one-size-fits-all. We develop each item around the connector interface, electrical rating and mechanical requirements confirmed with the customer.
We operate our own granulation and processing plants, which gives us control over the insulation and jacket compounds used in generator wiring cable. Contact pins and blades are produced in conductive copper alloys, and housings are molded in engineering plastics selected for impact and temperature performance.
Our overseas manufacturing base operates under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, and our products hold safety certifications including c(Ul)us, ETL and CE. Every production stage is subject to inspection protocols, and our in-house testing lab verifies electrical and mechanical performance before shipment.
Our R&D team develops generator power cords and accessories from customer drawings or samples. We review the electrical requirement, mechanical envelope and end-use environment, then propose a construction that can be manufactured consistently at volume.
For OEM programs we support private-label marking, custom lengths, non-standard connector combinations and packaging design. For ODM work we can propose connector and cable combinations based on the generator output and the receiving equipment.
Generator inlet boxes are installed on an exterior or interior wall near the transfer equipment, with the inlet facing outward for cord connection. Wiring cable and twist lock plugs are mated by aligning the blades and rotating to the locked position.
To prepare a generator power cord and accessory proposal, we work from the following project inputs. Where a value is not yet fixed, we can propose a standard configuration for review.
| Input | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Generator output rating and voltage | Sets amperage class, pole count and conductor size |
| Connector standard required | Determines plug and inlet interface compatibility |
| Cord length and routing | Affects voltage drop and jacket selection |
| Indoor, outdoor or wet location | Drives jacket compound and enclosure rating |
| Target market and certification needs | Aligns product with c(Ul)us, ETL or CE requirements |
| Packaging, marking and order volume | Defines tooling, labeling and production planning |
We manufacture generator twist lock plugs, generator wiring cable and generator inlet boxes, covering NEMA L5-30, L6-30, L14-20, L14-30, TT-30 and SS2-50 configurations in 20 A, 30 A and 50 A classes.
