Ningbo Zhenjia Electric Appliances Co., Ltd. has manufactured electrical connection products since 2006, and the US power cord range is one of our core lines. We produce NEMA 5-15P, NEMA 5-20P, NEMA 6-15P and NEMA 6-20P assemblies with c(UL)us and ETL certified constructions, supplied as molded cords, open-end leads, extension cords and appliance harnesses for North American equipment.
Our position in this category is as a US Power Cord manufacturer working from customer drawings, samples or a defined working point: voltage, current, conductor gauge, jacket material, plug orientation and end termination. The range covers 18 AWG through heavy-duty constructions, two-pole and three-wire grounded versions, and both straight and angled plug bodies.
NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P plugs with PVC or rubber jackets, strain relief, optional fuse and open-end or connector termination.
Low-profile 90-degree bodies for wall-hugging appliances, furniture, displays and equipment installed against a back panel.
NEMA 5-15, 5-20, 6-15 and 6-20 extension assemblies for tools, shop equipment and outdoor-rated duty.
The models below represent the current US power cord program. Each one can be adjusted for cable length, conductor size, color, jacket compound and end termination within the certified construction.
| Model | Plug / Configuration | Typical Application | Certification |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZJ-2BZ | 2-pole extension cord, molded ends | Small appliances, lighting, indoor electronics | ETL |
| ZJ-2CZ | Electric extension cord, molded plug | Household and commercial extension duty | ETL |
| ZJ-2F | NEMA 1-15P right-angle plug with fuse | Compact electronics, chargers, low-profile enclosures | ETL / UL |
| ZJ-2FB | 2-pin waterproof PVC cord, fused open end | Electronics, outdoor fixtures, moisture-exposed equipment | ETL |
| ZJ-2W | 18 AWG angled 2-slot non-polarized | Slim appliances, wall-adjacent installations | ETL |
| ZJ-3B1 | 90-degree flat plug, 15 A / 125 V, 1875 W, NEMA 5-15P | Grounded appliances, power strips, office equipment | ETL |
| ZJ-3D | Flat plug, 3-prong grounded indoor cable | Small grounded appliances, indoor outlets | UL |
| ZJ-3G | 5-15P flat-head extension cord | Small appliances, countertop equipment | ETL |
| ZJ-3T | 16 / 18 AWG 3-prong, NEMA 5-15P to female socket | General-purpose grounded extension duty | ETL |
| ZJ-3X | Standard 3-prong NEMA 5-15P wall plug | Laptops, projectors, desktop computers | ETL |
| ZJ520P | NEMA 5-20P to 5-20R heavy duty extension | 20 A equipment, shop tools, commercial loads | ETL |
| ZJ615P / ZJ620P | NEMA 6-15 and 6-20 extension cords | 240 V equipment, compressors, commercial machinery | ETL |
Configuration starts from the equipment interface, not from a stock list. We match the plug body to the outlet environment, then size the conductors and jacket to the load and routing conditions. The variables we work through with each customer are:
US power cords are rated by the plug and conductor combination, not by the appliance alone. A 15 A NEMA 5-15P assembly and a 20 A NEMA 5-20P assembly use different blade geometries and cannot be interchanged at the outlet. For 240 V equipment, NEMA 6-15 and 6-20 configurations carry the higher voltage without a neutral conductor. We confirm the working current, ambient temperature and flexing duty before fixing the conductor size.
Flat and right-angle plugs keep the cord close to the wall behind refrigerators, microwaves, air conditioners and countertop appliances. Molded strain relief protects the conductor-to-plug transition during repeated handling.
Standard 3-prong NEMA 5-15P cords with IEC or molded female ends serve laptops, projectors, monitors and desktop systems where a grounded connection is required.
Heavy-duty 5-20, 6-15 and 6-20 assemblies support compressors, welders, shop tools and commercial equipment drawing higher current or 240 V supply.
Waterproof PVC and rubber-jacketed constructions with fused open ends suit lighting, pumps and equipment installed in damp or exposed locations.
Our production base covers granulation, conductor processing, molding and assembly, which lets us control jacket compound and plug body quality from the raw material stage. The overseas manufacturing base operates under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, and our US power cord models carry c(UL)us and ETL certification supported by compliance certificates E529560, E325763 and E321611.
Inspection covers conductor continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, high-potential withstand and dimensional checks on the plug body. Every production stage is subject to documented quality control protocols, and our in-house testing laboratory verifies finished assemblies before packing.
US power cords sit inside a broader electrical connection program. Customers developing a complete accessory set often combine them with the following ranges:
A precise quotation depends on the equipment interface and the production target. We prepare the configuration and price from the following inputs:
| Input | What We Need | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Electrical rating | Voltage, current, frequency, single or dual voltage | Fixes plug type, conductor gauge and insulation class |
| Equipment interface | Inlet type, panel opening, mating connector or open end | Determines termination and strain relief design |
| Routing and environment | Cable length, bend radius, indoor or outdoor, temperature | Selects jacket compound and flex rating |
| Compliance target | Required certification and marking | Confirms the construction against the certified file |
| Commercial scope | Order quantity, packaging, labeling, delivery destination | Defines packing method and shipment scope |
Drawings or physical samples are the fastest route to an accurate configuration. Where a customer supplies a sample, we reverse-engineer the plug geometry, conductor construction and jacket hardness, then produce to the same working point.
Our R&D team develops and produces US power cords according to customer drawings or samples, covering non-standard lengths, custom jacket colors, branded plug bodies and specific termination requirements. Because we operate our own granulation and processing facilities, jacket compound formulation can be adjusted for hardness, flexibility and color without relying on an outside compounder.
Finished cords are packed to the agreed method, with PE foam or bag protection and strong cartons for export handling. Labeling, barcode and carton marking are produced to the customer specification, and shipment scope is confirmed against the order before dispatch.
We produce NEMA 1-15P, 5-15P, 5-20P, 6-15P and 6-20P configurations, in both straight and angled body styles. The 5-15 and 5-20 ranges cover most 120 V equipment, while 6-15 and 6-20 serve 240 V loads without a neutral conductor.
Yes. Fused plug versions such as ZJ-2F and fused open-end constructions such as ZJ-2FB are part of the range. Open ends can be stripped, tinned or fitted with ring terminals depending on how the cord terminates inside the equipment.
Our US power cord models carry c(UL)us and ETL certification, supported by compliance certificates E529560, E325763 and E321611. The manufacturing base operates under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, and finished assemblies are tested before packing.
We develop and produce according to customer drawings or samples. Send the drawing, sample or a defined working point with voltage, current, length and termination, and we will confirm the construction and prepare the configuration.
The range covers 18 AWG through heavy-duty stranded copper constructions. Conductor size is selected against the working current, cable length and allowable voltage drop, and is confirmed together with the plug rating.
Cords are packed to the agreed method with PE foam or bag protection inside strong cartons. Carton marking, labeling and barcode requirements are produced to the customer specification, and the delivery scope is confirmed with the order.
