Ningbo Zhenjia Electric Appliances Co., Ltd. has manufactured electrical connection and lighting products since 2006, and our LED Work Light range covers portable hand lamps built for job sites, workshops, garages, RV and utility use. The current range centres on the ZJ-DC-03D Work Lights with Switch and Receptacle, a corded hand lamp that combines illumination and a switched outlet in one housing.
We produce lighting components alongside our power cord, extension cord and EV charging lines, which means the cable, plug, socket and lamp body of a work light are engineered as one assembly rather than assembled from unrelated parts. Our overseas factory in Cambodia and our Ningbo operation run under the ISO 9001 quality management system, with products aligned to c(UL)us, ETL and CE safety requirements.
Our LED work light programme is a focused, application-driven range rather than a broad catalogue of decorative fixtures. The core product is a corded portable hand lamp with an integrated switch and receptacle, designed so a single cord run can power the lamp and a connected tool or device at the same point of work.
Work lights are specified by the environment they survive in, not by lumen figures alone. Our hand lamp format suits tasks where the light must move with the operator and where a nearby power take-off saves running a second cord.
Under-hood and under-vehicle inspection where a switched receptacle powers a polisher, tester or charger at the same point.
Temporary task lighting in service shafts, plant rooms and fit-out areas where a durable corded lamp is preferred over battery tools.
Shore-power and generator-fed lighting where the lamp cord must match the site connector standard and tolerate repeated coiling.
A work light specification is settled by the electrical interface and the physical duty cycle. These are the variables we confirm before releasing a build.
| Configuration Area | Options We Build | Why It Matters On Site |
|---|---|---|
| Plug & connector standard | NEMA 5-15, UK, EU and other regional moulded plugs | Determines whether the lamp can be used on the destination market's outlets without adapters |
| Cable type & length | Flexible SJT/SVT-class cord, custom lengths, braided or standard jacket | Reach, coil memory and abrasion resistance in daily handling |
| Switching | On-board switch, switch plus receptacle, or lamp-only | Controls whether a tool can be powered at the lamp position |
| Housing & guard | Moulded body, lamp guard, hook or stand, colour and branding | Impact survival, heat clearance and how the lamp is positioned hands-free |
| Marking & documentation | Rating labels, private label artwork, carton and insert artwork | Retail or distributor presentation and traceability |
Because we compound and process our own cable materials, the cord on a work light is not a purchased commodity item. We control conductor stranding, insulation thickness and jacket formulation, which is where most field failures in portable lighting originate — at the strain relief, the plug moulding and the point where the cable flexes against the housing.
Where a project calls for a specific cord construction, our related lines cover power cord assemblies and extension cord builds, so a work light can be matched to the same plug and cable family used elsewhere in the customer's programme.
Every work light passes through the same staged inspection regime as our other electrical assemblies. Our in-house testing laboratory and inspection equipment support continuity, polarity, insulation resistance and high-potential testing on corded products, with functional checks on the switch and receptacle circuit before packing.
Compliance documentation for the relevant standards is available for project files, and our certificates cover compliance, verification of compliance and authorisation to mark for the applicable product families.
Our R&D team develops and produces to customer drawings or samples. For work lights this typically means a housing colour and moulding change, a different cable length or jacket, a plug standard for a new market, or a switch and receptacle layout that matches an existing tool range.
A workable quotation depends on a small set of inputs. When these are clear, we can confirm the build, the test regime and the documentation package without a round of assumptions.
| Project Input | What We Need | How We Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Destination market | Country of sale and outlet standard | Selects plug moulding and the applicable safety standard |
| Electrical duty | Supply voltage, lamp load, receptacle load | Sets conductor size, switch rating and receptacle rating |
| Physical duty | Cable length, handling environment, mounting method | Drives jacket choice, strain relief design and hook or stand provision |
| Commercial scope | Target quantity, packaging format, label artwork | Defines tooling, packing line and inspection sampling |
| Acceptance | Test requirements, documentation set, sample approval route | Builds the inspection plan and the documents issued with the shipment |
Corded work lights are installed by plugging in, so the practical service life is decided by handling and by the condition of the cord and terminations. We supply the lamp as a sealed corded assembly, which keeps field servicing to inspection and replacement rather than internal repair.
Our current work light model is the ZJ-DC-03D Work Lights with Switch and Receptacle, a corded portable hand lamp that provides task illumination and a switched outlet at the same point of work. We build it with moulded plugs and cable from our own power cord production.
Yes. We produce US, UK and EU plug configurations within our power cord lines, so a work light can be built with the moulded plug and cable construction required for the destination market rather than shipped with an adapter.
Our R&D team develops and produces products according to customer drawings or samples. Typical customizations include housing colour, cable length and jacket, switch and receptacle layout, plug standard, and private label printing on the housing and packaging.
Our manufacturing operates under the ISO 9001 quality management system, and our products are aligned with c(UL)us, ETL and CE safety requirements. Compliance certificates, verification of compliance and authorisation to mark documents are available for the applicable product families to support project files.
Corded assemblies pass routine electrical safety testing in our in-house laboratory, including continuity, polarity, insulation resistance and high-potential checks, with functional verification of the switch and receptacle circuit. Pre-shipment inspection sampling is agreed in the order specification.
We need the destination market and outlet standard, supply voltage and the lamp and receptacle loads, required cable length and handling environment, target quantity and packaging format, and the acceptance and documentation requirements. With those inputs we can confirm the configuration, test plan and delivery scope.
